   Dr. Anthony Osei Boateng  BSc, MSc, PhD, PGCHE, FHEA is a Senior Biomedical Research Consultant based in London and an Industrial Scientist / Senior Lecturer at University of Greenwich. 

Anthony is a Fellow of UK’s Higher Education Academy, with PhD in Biomedical Science from University of Westminster  and MSc in Pharmaceutical Science from London Metropolitan University. He has over 10 years’ experience in medical research, having worked as a Clinical Pathology Researcher at Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research in Ghana on malaria research projects in collaboration with New York University, Harvard University and Yale University.

Dr. Francis Osei Boateng is the Founder/CEO of Akoma Pharmaceuticals Ltd, President of Tree of Life Inc and Director overseeing Ghana's operations of An & An Global. 

He is credited with beginning and advancing  the pharmaceutical and clinical research on Gentian-based hepatoprotectives which he began in the 1970s in Little Hampton in United Kingdom. This was continued by his son and Founder of An & An Global Ltd Dr Anthony Osei Boateng at University of Westminster for his PhD. 

Dr. Francis Osei Boateng has a long track record of research  and development of novel pharmaceutical formulations, therapeutics and phytotherapy. He is credited with developing the popular universal preservative (satrap) which has been widely used in many West African countries particularly Ghana and Nigeria.  

He  has also designed, formulated and produced wellness products for hepatitis B, HIV, malaria, hypertension and diabetic patients. 

Dr Francis Osei Boateng is an astute entrepreneur and advocate of new techniques for the production of high quality affordable medication.  He has setup multiple franchises of Tree of Life Inc across West Africa. He has been actively involved in research into the anti-diabetic effects of the husk of Zea mays  published here

 Dr Vinood B. Patel is a Reader in Clinical Biochemistry at the University of Westminster and honorary fellow at King’s College London.  He was one of the PhD supervisors of the Founder/CEO of An & An Global Dr Anthony Osei Boateng during his PhD at University  of Westminster and help to nurture and develop his interest in biomedical research into liver diseases notably non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Dr Patel graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a degree in Pharmacology and completed his PhD in protein metabolism from King’s College London in 1997 and post doctoral studies at Wake Forest University Medical School, USA.

 He presently directs studies on metabolic pathways involved in diabetes and liver disease, particularly related to mitochondrial energy regulation and cell death. Research is being undertaken to study the role of nutrients, antioxidants, phytochemicals, iron, alcohol and fatty acids. Other areas of interest include identifying new biomarkers that can be used for diagnosis and prognosis of liver disease, understanding mitochondrial oxidative stress in Alzheimers disease and gastrointestinal dysfunction in autism. Dr Patel has edited biomedical books in the area of diet, nutrition and health prevention, biomarkers, has published over 150 articles.
